Drilling for Potable Water in Kenya
As part of a student group at the University of Nevada, Reno, Katie Mann traveled to Kenya to help villagers drill a well. She returned in January 2012 to finish the project.

Yemm & Hart Green Materials

Yemm & Hart Origins - 100% Post-Consumer HDPE
To produce the Origins material, #2 Plastics - The kind used for milk jugs, laundry detergent bottles, etc., are collected and sorted into various color combinations and used to create this solid surfacing material with a variety of uses, including countertops and restroom partitions. Flecks of color from the original products, as well as in some cases bits of labels, are visible in the material, giving an indication of it's origin.
(APA has utilized this material for countertops and shelving at the Park Forest Pool, and restroom countertops at Raytheon)
